Twitter is one way to grow your podcast or your audience. I'm no expert in building audienes, for that part you can do whatever you want, since I'm not sure how to explain it.

When starting your Podcast, share your Idea with your followers or audience. This will let you get early feedback on your idea, and get an intial following.
